ANSI, which fully controls ANAB since 2018, founded the International Accreditation Forum (Delaware) and partners with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (Australia). Both oversee national and international accreditation standards and ANSI-ANAB are underwriters who take all legal responsibility for systemic or product failures.

Boeing participated on ANAB's Management System Accreditation Committee, which grants, suspends, and withdraws certifications, while Boeing itself was not AS9100 certified for over 22 years. This compromised every supplier no matter what industry and certification worldwide.
