JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Aug. 14, 2025 - PRLog -- Snowbird Technologies is set to take the stage at this year's Emerging Technologies for Defense Conference and Exhibition, August 27–29, 2025, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The company will spotlight how contested logistics and portable additive manufacturing can transform the way the military operates in the field.

Hosted by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), this new conference brings together visionaries from defense, industry, and the commercial sector to explore breakthrough innovations that will shape U.S. national security for the next century. The event focuses on aligning Department of Defense mission priorities with industry solutions to strengthen capabilities and readiness.

On August 27 at 10:25 AM EST, Jeremy Heerdink, Snowbird Technologies' Vice President of Business Development, will deliver a presentation based on the company's submitted abstract, "Revolutionizing Logistics through Point-of-Need Manufacturing." Heerdink will reveal how Snowbird's portable additive manufacturing platforms enable military units to produce critical parts onsite and on demand — cutting supply chain delays, reducing logistical risks, and empowering faster field repairs.

"As proud members of NDIA, we believe in actively contributing to the dialogue on emerging defense technologies," said Heerdink. "This conference is a place where leaders and innovators come together to push boundaries, and companies like Snowbird play a vital role in developing the solutions that will keep our warfighters at the forefront."

Earlier this year, Snowbird Technologies launched the newest model of its latest innovation: the SAMM Tech portable additive manufacturing platform. Equipped with 3D printing and CNC machining capabilities for both metal and plastic materials, this latest model features advanced Meltio laser-wire DED technology alongside a Slice Engineering plastic extruder — a combination designed to deliver precision, flexibility, and durability in any environment.

Registration for the Emerging Technologies for Defense Conference is now open. Secure your spot at https://www.ndiatechexpo.org.
