JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - May 27, 2025 - PRLog -- Snowbird Technologies is pleased to announce its participation in the 2025 Joint-Defense Advanced Manufacturing Meeting for Innovation and Transition (J-DAMMIT), taking place September 9–11 at Harrisburg University in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Facilitated by Harrisburg University's Advanced Manufacturing team in collaboration with leading industry partners, J-DAMMIT offers immersive, hands-on experiences across a range of emerging technologies, including robotics, additive manufacturing, CNC machining, hybrid manufacturing, 3D electronics printing, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), smart factory systems, and more. The event will be held at the university's state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot education and research facility located in downtown Harrisburg.

During the event, Snowbird Technologies will present its latest innovations in truly expeditionary manufacturing, featuring a live demonstration of its proprietary Additive Mobile Manufacturing platform – SAMM Tech. This next-generation solution integrates 3-axis plastic and metal additive manufacturing with 5-axis CNC machining to deliver unmatched versatility and precision for field-based production.

The showcased 10-foot SAMM Tech unit combines cutting-edge technologies, including:
  • The Meltio directed energy deposition (DED) print engine for metal printing
  • The Slice Engineering Mosquito Prime fused filament fabrication extruder for plastic additive manufacturing
  • Integrated 3-axis CNC milling capabilities
  • The Creaform MetraSCAN Optical 3D scanner for high-accuracy reverse engineering and in-field quality control

SAMM Tech is designed to meet the needs of forward-deployed environments by enabling point-of-need production and finishing of components in metal, plastic, and composite materials.

Snowbird Technologies invites attendees to join them for hands-on demonstrations and collaborative discussions exploring how advanced manufacturing technologies like SAMM Tech are enhancing operational readiness and supporting the Warfighter.
