PRLog -- Wine & Culture Fest 2025 wrapped a powerful weekend at the National Harbor (July 17–19) with a bold celebration of Black excellence across wine, food, music, and culture. Hosted by The Hue Society, the three-day experience gathered a dynamic mix of tastemakers, wine lovers, culinary leaders, and creatives for a weekend of joy, connection, and cultural celebration.
The standout moment of the weekend was an intimate Fireside Chat with Taraji P. Henson—award-
winning actress, producer, and mental health advocate—moderated by Hue Society founder Tahiirah Habibi. Their conversation explored identity, joy, entrepreneurship, and advocacy, leaving guests inspired by Taraji's unfiltered truth, humor, and heart.
"This festival isn't just about wine—it's about
us," said Tahiirah Habibi. "It's about celebrating Black joy, creativity, and legacy while building something that lives far beyond a weekend."
Weekend Highlights Included: - The Sweet Suite - A luxe tasting experience presented by Seven Daughters Wine (Terlato Family Wines), featuring curated pours in an elevated lounge setting.
- Chef-Centered Culinary Showcases - Flavors took center stage with live food pairings from chefs Sashia Liriano, Corwin Hemming, Chaz Brown, and Linda Brown.
- "Be My Guest" Mixology Lab - A hands-on cocktail experience led by AJ Johnson of Serenata DC, celebrating Black excellence in spirits and storytelling.
- Panels & Masterclasses - Expert-led sessions on entrepreneurship, wine education, identity, and building cultural legacy through community featuring Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett.
- Pour da Riddims Party - A Caribbean-inspired celebration of sound, movement, and Diasporic pours with a soundtrack rooted in joy.
