Designed to amplify the voices of cultural professionals, practitioners, and independent actors from across the Global South and beyond, this series of workshops has culminated in a comprehensive synthesis report — now available on UNESCO's official website as a contribution to the upcoming MONDIACULT 2025 conference. Held in cities including Brussels, New York, Rabat, Dakar, Lagos and Cairo in partnership with TV5 Monde, each consultation gathered a diverse group of cultural actors and leaders to explore urgent challenges and priorities in the cultural field. Discussions focused on key themes such as heritage and resilience, mobility and training, emerging cultural infrastructures, and transnational collaboration. The report presents both the core insights and concrete recommendations emerging from these dialogues. It is intended as a tool for policymakers, funders, and international organizations seeking to integrate local knowledge perspectives into global cultural policy debates. "We wanted to create a space where the lived experiences of cultural professionals could directly inform UNESCO's thinking," says Dr. Naïma Chikhi, coordinator of the initiative. "The Actural Dialogues reflect not only the diversity of contexts, but also a shared urgency to rethink how we support and structure the cultural sector today." The final report, titled Cultural Futures: A Roadmap for Collaboration, is accessible on UNESCO's website under the MONDIACULT 2025 resources section. Actural Dialogues (https://actural.eu/ End
