| Second Quarter 2025 Results. Openings and Projects in DevelopmentWhile the company had a weak first quarter in 2025, the performance of its entire portfolio then took off in the second quarter, according to Glen Montezuma, Avanza's chief operating officer. AGH closed the second quarter with $33 million in hotel revenue, with a 17.6% growth in revenue per available room at comparable hotels compared to the same period in 2024. Avanza closed the second quarter 9% above its budgeted revenue. Looking ahead to the third quarter, which has just begun, the company plans an additional 12% increase in its revenue on a comparable basis. "So far, at our anticipated booking pace, and with respect to our July and August periods, we haven't seen any reduction in travel," he stated. There's still a long way to go before demand returns to pre-COVID-19 levels; we have a large amount of leisure and mixed-purpose travel, Glen stated. "This is all going very well, well above 2024 levels and has been since April," he concluded. At the same time, no one knows what the future holds, so Avanza isn't complacent about current market conditions, he stated. Openings and Projects in Development: Avanza added three third-party management contracts at the beginning of the year in our first quarter of 2025, Glen stated, and expects similar numbers by the end of 2025. It also retained seven properties that underwent ownership changes. The company was the developer of the three hotels it opened. The openings were a mix of traditional hotel developments, including brands such as Hampton Inn and Spring Suites. Avanza has been implementing a development and construction program for two hotels under its own Avanza Hoteles brand, one in Colombia and the other in Panama, both still in the initial phase. This is something new for the company, in collaboration with one of its private equity partners, Glen explained. "We have one foot in the door of economy extended-stay and the other in the multifamily sector, so it's a very strict operating model," he stated, adding that this means having a separate team overseeing these properties. Meanwhile, Avanza GH continues to focus on our niche Spanish-speaking market, those property owners who find communication difficult due to the language barrier. Mid-size and small boutique properties, focused on perfect service and comfort. We continue to advance development projects with more economy-segment properties in the short and long term. https://www.avanzagh.com/ End
