Michael Lucker began writing songs for girls he had crushes on in the fourth grade. It nearly worked, so he went on to write articles for the school paper, plays for the drama club, and commercials for the cable station. After graduating from Boston University's College of Communication, fate and a Mercury Capri took him to Los Angeles, where he landed a job as an assistant to Steven Spielberg before embarking on a career writing movies for Disney, DreamWorks, Paramount, Fox, and Universal. He went on to work in television, creating series and teaching screenwriting at universities. He now serves as a lecturer at the University of North Georgia, a mentor at Reinhardt University, and a consultant at the Georgia Film Academy. He has also written a definitive book on screenwriting, Crash! Boom! Bang! How to Write Action Movies.
