If Orphans Could Write a Letter to the World

HYDERABAD, India - June 2, 2025 - PRLog -- Dear World,

You pass by us every day. Some of you look. Some of you pretend not to. Some offer help. Most move on.

We don't have names that mean anything to you. No parents to speak for us. No documents to prove our existence. But we are here—living, breathing, feeling.

Some of us live on roadsides, under torn plastic sheets. Some are inside shelters, staring out of barred windows. Some can't speak clearly. Some don't speak at all. But silence is not absence. Our hearts beat. Our minds dream. And when you forget us, it hurts.

We aren't asking for pity. We don't want to be "cases" or "problems to solve." We want dignity. We want care. We want someone to see the human behind the label—orphan, mentally challenged, abandoned.

We know we may never have a family like yours. But we can belong somewhere. Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam gave us that chance. It gave us food, shelter, safety, and most of all—respect. Some call us 'burdens.' They don't know how we light up when someone smiles at us. Or how deeply we hold on to a warm meal or a gentle touch.

World, if you could feel what we feel, would you walk away so easily?

You spend thousands on things you'll forget by next week. We just need one meal a day. One bed. One roof. One human who believes we deserve to live with dignity.

Don't help us because we're helpless. Help us because you're human.
