City of Camarillo Partners With Agromin To Launch Free Compost and Mulch Program

CAMARILLO, Calif. - May 16, 2025 - PRLog -- The City of Camarillo has partnered with Agromin, California's largest organics recycler, to launch a free compost and mulch program that provides high-quality mulch and compost to city residents and businesses at no cost.

The program supports sustainable gardening practices in alignment with the city's Sustainability Master Plan and helps the city meet state-mandated organic waste reduction goals.

As part of the launch of the Organics Voucher Program, the city donated 1.25 tons of Agromin compost to Valor Healing Farms in Camarillo, the first organization to use the new coupon program. Through farming internships and therapeutic gardening, this nonprofit organization supports the military community, including veterans, active-duty service members, caregivers, families, and first responders.

Residents can receive up to 75 cubic yards of compost and 100 cubic yards of mulch each year by ordering through Agromin's Customer Portal, using city-issued coupon codes. Participants may pick up materials at no cost or opt for home delivery for a $90 fee.

Agromin, headquartered in Oxnard, provides compost and mulch for use on public and private landscapes and farms throughout the state. "Our partnership with the City of Camarillo ensures a steady supply of free quality compost and mulch to city residents," says Bill Camarillo, Agromin's CEO.
