A Vietnam-era veteran and mother, Kimberly has endured the lifelong burden of failing dental health, made worse by policies that stripped dental coverage from veterans like her decades ago.

Now 48 and living on a fixed income from Social Security Disability, Kimberly's dentures — the only option she's had access to for years — have failed her once again. Her most recent pair cracked in half, leaving her unable to chew food properly or smile without discomfort. According to her dentist, permanent dental implants are her best — and last — chance for a stable solution. However, the procedure requires extensive orthodontic work and bone grafting, a treatment that runs into tens of thousands of dollars — far beyond what Kimberly's limited income can afford.

"I can't even pay the tax on these implants," Kimberly shared. "And yet, I know they're what I need to live fully again. Eating, smiling, speaking — these aren't luxuries, they're part of a dignified life."

While her VA medical care is fully covered, the gap in dental support for veterans remains a longstanding issue. Kimberly highlights the irony: "We send billions abroad, but veterans like me still fall through the cracks here at home."

Through her heartfelt GoFundMe campaign, Kimberly is hoping to raise the necessary funds to finally receive the treatment she needs.
