Microgrant Now Open to U.S. Women Creators and Founders Through May 20

CYPRESS, Texas - May 1, 2025 - PRLog -- A new microgrant opportunity from This Woman Knows is now accepting applications from U.S.-based women entrepreneurs, creators, nonprofit founders, and visionaries. The $500 grant is designed to support women building with courage, creativity, and clarity—without the need to relive personal hardship stories.

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, with a flexible deadline. To be considered for the May award cycle, applicants must apply by May 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Founded by writer, filmmaker, and media producer Lisa N. Alexander, This Woman Knows launched the grant to offer direct financial support with minimal barriers. The focus is on the work being done—no trauma essays, no daily social media voting required, and no restrictions on how the funds must be used.

"We launched this grant to say: we see you, we believe in your vision, and you are worthy of support," said Alexander. "So many women are over-mentored and underfunded—and if you're a nonprofit founder, funding for operational expenses is a rarity."

The grant is open to U.S.-based women 18 and older, and welcomes applicants across sectors—from nonprofit leadership to creative industries. Finalists will be reviewed by a small team of external judges.
