Local nonprofit United Community Family Services delivered the final 2024 spotlight presentation, sharing their mission to guide individuals toward self-sufficiency with dignity and hope. The 2024 series featured inspiring presentations from: - Words of Hope 4 Life - Insuring Change - Abigayle Ministries - Sparkle Network - The Monarch Circle - The DRE Project - Brilliant Detroit - Women Empowerment Circle Group - Just Because We Care - Susie Q's Kids - InnovatED 313 - Hope Care and Beyond and Refuge for Nations - Glamorous Moms Foundation - Helping Hand for Relief and Development - Help In The Midst Of The Storm - Sacred Walks by Uni Each nonprofit shared their mission, vision, and opportunities for community support, furthering Creative Society's commitment to strengthening local connections and fostering a culture of collaboration. Looking Ahead to 2025 Creative Society is now seeking Metro Detroit-based nonprofits to participate in the 2025 "Business Networking For Good" series. Confirmed 2025 dates for Business Networking For Good include: - January 25, 2025 (Saturday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m.) - February 22, 2025 (Saturday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m.) - March 22, 2025 (Saturday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m.) - April 26, 2025 (Saturday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m.) - May 17, 2025 (Saturday, 9 a.m.–11 a.m.) In addition to hosting its impactful "Business Networking For Good" series, Creative Society volunteers made significant strides in climate advocacy and public engagement throughout 2024. - On October 7, they attended the Michigan Climate Summit to champion climate civics and inspire civic engagement. - The premiere of the groundbreaking documentary "Water from the Air: Humanity's Path to Survival" on May 26 highlighted innovative solutions for a sustainable future. - Locally, the Creative Society Michigan volunteers empowered communities through a free Metro Detroit event on climate preparedness, ensuring residents are equipped to face natural disasters.
