Follow on Google News | Clive Myrie announced as Highways Awards hostHighways Magazine, the UK's leading publication for the road and traffic industry, will award 17 categories, ranging from ''Road Safety Scheme of the Year'' to ''Best Use of New Technology Award'', as part of its annual Highways Awards. Clive has made features and programmes for Panorama, Newsnight and Radio 4, and is the host of long running quiz show Mastermind. He presented the documentary, The Crown Jewels for BBC1, which was screened as part of the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. His travel series Clive Myrie's Italian Roadtrip, was a hit on BBC2, and one of the most popular shows on the BBC. Clive, alongside other presenters, will lead the BBC's election night coverage on 4 July. This year, Highways Awards has introduced two new categories. The 'Digital Transformation' award will recognise organisations that have made a positive impact on working practices or service outcomes, in or outside their own operation, using digital technology and data analysis. And the ''Line Marking and Street Design'' award will be celebrating professional excellence in place and road design and its impact on community social value, safety and civic transformation.
