PACE Receives $1 Million Grant from Citi Foundation's Community Progress Makers

LOS ANGELES - May 20, 2024 - PRLog -- Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $1 million grant over three years from the Citi Foundation's Community Progress Makers initiative. This award will enable PACE to expand its impact in driving economic mobility for Los Angeles residents while enhancing the health and environmental conditions of the region.

The Community Progress Makers initiative empowers community organizations to connect low-income communities and communities of color to greater social and economic opportunity. With this grant, PACE will leverage its services to help these communities venture into the green economy through small business assistance, energy and environmental education, and workforce development.

The PACE Green Loan Fund (PGLF) is a revolving loan fund that fosters the growth and establishment of green businesses through targeted flexible financing.

PACE's partnership with U.S. Green Building Council Los Angeles (USGBC-LA) develops specialized training programs tailored for in demand and emerging careers in the green economy.

PACE's Weatherization Program has served 433,572 clients through home assessments, energy-efficiency upgrades, and energy conservation outreach and education.

Through the support of the Citi Foundation's Community Progress Makers initiative, PACE looks forward to accelerating its efforts in driving economic empowerment, environmental stewardship, and social equity to create more inclusive and sustainable communities for generations to come.
