International Online Artist Collective Presents Chain Reaction: A Global Art Collaboration Opening May 24 at Sitar Arts Center in Washington, DC. The exhibition runs through June 22, 2024. Chain Reaction is an ambitious project showcasing the collaborative spirit of 14 artists from around the world. Beginning with a single piece, each square informs the next, creating a chain reaction of artworks. Over two years, approximately 100 works were created, culminating in a multimedia art installation. The project was documented through video and print, highlighting the evolution of this unique collaborative endeavor. Amidst isolation, Chain Reaction emerged as a means to connect through art. With artists residing in eight different countries, the project transcends boundaries, celebrating the diverse perspectives and talents within the collective. Caroline Karp, a founding member and artist of IOAC, shares the significance of the upcoming show: "Art transcends boundaries, and our upcoming show in DC embodies the vibrant tapestry of global creativity. Join the IOAC as we showcase our Chain Reaction project for its 2nd stop on its world tour. Together, let's celebrate the power of art to unite and inspire. I'm excited to lead the community in an intuitive painting event that will happen in conjunction with the opening. The art piece produced will be auctioned off at the upcoming Sitar Art Center gala to raise money for DC youth in the arts." Caroline Karp, based in Tampa Bay, is known for her vibrant expressionist paintings exploring resilience, empowerment, and self-discovery. Through bold brushstrokes and heightened colors, her work conveys energy and emotion.
