The Wells International Foundation (WIF) Welcomes Patricia H. Long to its Board of Directors

HOUSTON - April 30, 2024 - PRLog -- The Wells International Foundation (WIF) is pleased to welcome Patricia (Pat) H. Long to its board of directors.

As the broker/owner of Keller Williams Preferred Properties (KWPP), Long has grown the single-office brokerage from 28 agents when it opened in 2004 to over 600 agents today. To date, the office has closed over $1 billion in sales and profit shared more than $2 million with its associates.

With 33 years of real estate experience and licenses in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, Long serves as KWPP's CEO. She and her associates have participated in many philanthropic activities: they have built homes for Habitat for Humanity, helped to refurbish local homeless women's shelters, provided over 90 college scholarships for local high school students, and distributed over 30,000 dictionaries to local elementary school students. They regularly host free homeowner education and financial literacy classes for a local 501(c)(3) HUD-approved counseling agency. And they have partnered with Heart of America to transform five elementary school libraries in Prince George's County. This partnership includes a donation of $125,000 raised by KWPP associates and many hours of hands-on labor.

Community service is a cornerstone of Long's business philosophy.  Her professional and volunteer experiences make her exceptionally qualified to move WIF closer to achieving its mission. WIF's Founder and CEO Dr. Monique Y. Wells had the following to say about her joining the board:

"The decision to welcome Pat Long to WIF's board was unanimous!  Her longstanding commitment to literacy and women's empowerment are perfectly aligned with our mission, vision, and purpose, and her sales and fundraising experience will augment our ability to raise the funds we need to sustain our organization and expand our impact."

A native Washingtonian and a longtime resident of Fort Washington in Prince George's County, Maryland, Long holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology from Howard University. She is a member of Mt. Ennon Baptist Church, an avid reader, and a blue-ribbon Prince George's County Fair award winner for her "Almost Famous" chocolate chip cookies. For leisure, she enjoys spending time at home, traveling with her husband of forty years, Clinton Long, and visiting her phenomenally talented daughter, Lindsay Long, at Lindsay's home in Brooklyn, New York.
