CHARLESTON, W.Va. - March 10, 2024 - PRLog -- When filmmaker Jacob Holmes first embarked upon making this documentary, he didn't think this topic was going to be controversial. Recent political events in Alabama, have shined a new light on the topic of invitro fertilization, also known as IVF, and there is a growing concern that infertile couples or individuals wanting to bear children, will have an even harder time.

"Two: Stories of Love, Life and Infertility," tells the story of Hunter and Kasie Ferreri and their desire to have children. Kasie and Hunter were both diagnosed with separate instances of infertility, when the two are combined, they had a roughly zero percent chance of ever having kids. This documentary shows their trials and tribulations; their hopes and fears, all of the joys and pains.

For this couple, IVF was their only hope. Even then, there was a chance they could conceive, or go to term, Their journey is just one piece of a larger tapestry. The documentary extensively chronicles other real-life accounts from those who have been touched by infertility in myriad ways. Heartbreaking stories of loss and dreams of becoming parents. Medical professionals offering insight into the scientific and psychological aspects. Families provide support and perspectives on how it ripples out to loved ones. Ultimately, this is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit, the film creates a bold space where long-closeted struggles are brought into the light.

With recent court rulings and state actions regarding IVF, many medical professionals and couples fear that this may make their own difficulties even harder. According to OBGYN Akhil Patel, "Nearly one third of Americans live in regions without access to specialized infertility clinics, creating substantial obstacle in their journey to parenthood. Moreover, the financial hurdles associated with accessing such care exacerbate the disparity in health services. Should IVF become prohibited in certain locales, this challenge will only escalate, severely hindering prospective parents' dreams of family building."

"Two: Stories of Love, Life and Infertility," was conceived and directed by Jacob Holmes. His film "Called: For Such a Time As This" not only captivated viewers but also earned critical acclaim, winning Best Documentary and Best Education Film at the Christian Film Festival in August 2023 in Newport News, VA., and is an official selection international Christian Film and Music festival in Orlando Florida. "Two: Stories of Love, Life and Infertility,"  is produced by Holmes along with Award winning producer Matt Chassin, who's latest documentary, "George Hobbs; Stick Figure Wisdom, ' has won over 40 awards on the festival circuit including Best in Fest at Marina Del Rey film festival, and Best Documentary at Other Venice film festival.

According to Holmes, the documentary is currently in post-production, and "should be ready for release late this summer, or early fall."
