Central Wyoming College Celebrates Winning Lumina Grant and Achieving Top National Ranking

 
RIVERTON, Wyo. - Feb. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- A recent grant from Lumina Foundation has allowed Central Wyoming (CWC) to transform its digital presence, enhance engagement, and outreach to underserved communities.

The Small College Mobile Optimization Grant marked a milestone in CWC's journey, allowing it to provide more equitable educational opportunities.

"We're excited to partner with Central Wyoming College to support their vision of connecting with their community through their digital front door," said Lumina Strategy Officer Mary Laphen Pope.

With this grant, Central Wyoming College made its website more accessible and mobile-responsive, ensuring that visitors can obtain vital information and resources.

"We are deeply grateful to Lumina for this grant, which has empowered us to better serve our community and fulfill our mission to provide accessible education," said Brad Tyndall, president of Central Wyoming College. "This funding aligned perfectly with our vision to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, especially our American Indian learners."

Additionally, CWC recently announced that it achieved another milestone. According to the latest college ranking list released by Niche, CWC became the top-ranked community college in the state and ranked among the top 2.1% in the nation. Out of 922 colleges, CWC secured the 20th spot, a testament to its dedication to academic excellence and student success.

"We were thrilled to see our efforts in providing quality education recognized on a national level," added President Tyndall. "This ranking was a reflection of our faculty and staff's dedication, our supportive community, and the incredible achievements of our students."

Furthermore, Central Wyoming College has experienced a substantial increase in its online presence. In 2023 alone, the college witnessed an impressive 62.35% surge in unique website users. This highlighted the effectiveness of the improvements made possible through Lumina's funding, as more individuals accessed information about CWC's programs, enrollment process, and resources.
