BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Jan. 25, 2024 - PRLog -- www.mbcea.org - The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) announces that Briner Building, Inc., headquartered in Bluffton, Indiana, and servicing Indiana and Ohio, is the first metal building assembler based in Indiana to obtain the prestigious AC478 accreditation administered by the International Accreditation Service (IAS). AC478, Accreditation for Metal Building Assemblers Inspection, is a standard to recognize metal building assemblers committed to excellence.

Achieving this accreditation demonstrates that Briner has the personnel, the organizational skills, vast experience, knowledge, management procedures, and commitment to assemble metal buildings in accordance with code, specifications, costs and deadlines.  Requirements for this accreditation include documented management systems, rigorous safety training, quality managers, OSHA training, documented safety plans, site-specific plans, and other documentation.

"Congratulations to Briner Building as it joins an elite group of companies that are raising the bar in the metal building industry," says Jennifer Heimburger, MBCEA Past President. "AC478 accredited builders exemplify a commitment to excellence and the highest quality in the industry. We recognize these companies that are creating a movement and thank Briner for being an avid adopter of the program."

When Briner leadership first heard about AC478, they knew this was a program for them. The IAS mark of quality is tangible proof that they have appropriate safety, training and quality procedures for assembling Metal Building Systems.

"Briner differentiates itself by investing in industry-leading training and education, and AC478 accreditation reflects that. We are committed to upholding our values of quality, integrity, responsibility, community and partnership for our team members and our clients—we will always do what is right by them," said David Theye, Director of Safety and Training with Briner.

Bryan Harshbarger, Briner's President, added, "Accreditation provides further confidence for our clients and our team members. We have a longstanding history of quality and safety in steel erection, and this designation reinforces our commitment that we will deliver our best, every time."
