Jonathan Zap is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of experiences and expertise. He is an accomplished author, philosopher, journalist, and teacher, known for his extensive writings on psychology and contemporary mythology. Growing up in the Bronx and attending the Bronx High School of Science, Jonathan went on to graduate with honors in Philosophy and English from Ursinus College, followed by a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from NYU. He has taught English at both high school and college levels, and served as the dean of a public high school in the South Bronx, working with troubled youth. Additionally, Jonathan has guided inner-city kids and young people on wilderness expeditions to remote desert canyons and Mount Rainier's summit. He has also worked as a staff gemologist and instructor in diamond grading and gemstone identification at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where he earned a GG degree in gemology. Jonathan is the author of numerous articles, essays, screenplays, and the acclaimed Zap Oracle. His notable works include "Crossing the Event Horizon—Human Metamorphosis and the Singularity Archetype," along with the related sci-fi epic, "Parallel Journeys." Jonathan has engaged in various radio and television interviews, regularly appearing on platforms like Coast-to-Coast AM and the Gaia network show, Beyond Belief. He has presented his work on the Singularity Archetype at conferences hosted by the Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE) and the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS). Jonathan's background in Jungian psychology, paranormal research, literature, and writing, in addition to his interdisciplinary approach, contribute to his unique perspective on diverse subjects. Currently residing in Boulder, Colorado, Jonathan Zap continues to share his wealth of knowledge and insights with the world.
