Dr. Jasmine L. Harris of UTSA Advances to the Quarterfinals of the Fab Over 40 Competition

Vote Proceeds to Support the National Breast Cancer Foundation

SAN ANTONIO - Nov. 27, 2023 - PRLog -- Dr. Jasmine L. Harris, Associate Professor of African American Studies and Program Coordinator of the African American Studies Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio has advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Fab Over 40 competition, a fundraising challenge run by Colossal Management, LLC on behalf of DTCare, a 501(c)(3) charity.

Thousands of women from around the country have competed since October to raise as much money as they can via public votes to support those affected by breast cancer and breast cancer research through the National Breast Cancer Foundation. It's up to the public to decide who will win $40,000, a two-page feature in NewBeauty magazine, and an exclusive spa-cation in Scottsdale, Arizona. Fab Over 40 strives to honor and celebrate women around the world who are 40 and up—because all women are fabulous, regardless of age. Unlike a "contest", competitors are not required to pay an entry fee to participate. The Quarterfinals are scheduled to end on November 30, 2023, and Dr. Harris hopes to qualify for the semifinals, scheduled to begin on December 1, 2023.

"My network of supporters has been integral to my success in the competition thus far, and I cannot thank them enough," Dr. Harris gushed about her run to the Quarterfinals. "I love knowing that my participation in Fab Over 40 encourages awareness of breast cancer, a disease that has touched my family, and supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as highlights how fabulous women can be in any stage of life. I'm over 40 and fabulous, so vote for me!" https://votefab40.com/2023/jasmine-harris
