GSISD's Innovative Program Aims to Educate, Empower, and Elevate Sustainable Development Nationwide

ISLAMABAD - Oct. 7, 2023 - PRLog -- The Global Strategic Institute for Sustainable Development (GSISD) recently organized a highly informative and collaborative webinar, "Emerging Areas of Research in SDGs," which brought together GSISD fellows, researchers, and experts from various fields to explore new research avenues and project funding opportunities aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event also marked the beginning of the GSISD Learn to Impact and Earn program, with a strong focus on capacity-building for young researchers.
During the webinar, Dr. Muhammad Shakeel Ahmad, a distinguished scholar and a Chief Executive at GSISD, delivered an enlightening presentation on the preparation of project proposals for funding. His insights and guidance on crafting successful proposals were well-received by the attendees.
GSISD serves as a global platform where research fellows can submit project proposals to various funding agencies. Dr. Shakeel emphasized the importance of carefully structured and well-documented proposals, highlighting key tips and strategies to enhance their chances of securing grants and support for sustainable development initiatives.
The webinar's opening session featured Professor Ahsan ur Rahim from Abbottabad, who discussed the expansion of internship opportunities for undergraduate students at colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. GSISD plans to launch this program in the near future, creating valuable learning experiences for students and contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.
Mr. Abaid Ullah, a dedicated GSISD Research Fellow from DG Khan, expressed his appreciation for GSISD's commitment to empowering young researchers and fostering intellectual and economic sustainability in various regions of Pakistan. He underscored the significance of programs like GSISD Learn to Impact and Earn, emphasizing the need for impact initiatives to shape the future of the nation.
