ISLAMABAD - Nov. 10, 2024 - PRLog -- abad: In a landmark event, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, Chairman of Pakistan Awami Quwat, renowned businessman, and philanthropist, inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony and laid the foundation stone of Rawal International University in Islamabad. Attended by dignitaries, esteemed educationists, and professionals from the higher education sector, the ceremony also welcomed residents from Islamabad, Murree, Kotli Sattian, and Kashmir. The establishment of Rawal International University marks a transformative step in the academic landscape of rural Islamabad, promising to bring top-tier higher education to communities traditionally underserved in this area. During his inaugural address, Mr. Khaqan Waheed Khawaja emphasized the importance of establishing a state-of-the-art institution to fulfill the educational needs of the residents in rural Islamabad and nearby areas. Reflecting on his journey as a 2024 General Elections candidate from NA-48, he shared how his campaign revealed the educational gaps and lack of accessible higher education facilities in these regions. This pressing need inspired Mr. Khaqan Waheed Khawaja to mobilize a team of dedicated professionals to work towards Rawal International University's establishment.

Mr. Khaqan Waheed Khawaja further highlighted the university's mission to foster critical thinking, research, and sustainable development across various fields.
