SAN FRANCISCO - Oct. 13, 2023 - PRLog -- To pay tribute to the human spirit of exploration and the last manned mission to the moon, Carlson Raulen (CR Watches) will be launching a wrist watch named Luna 1972, supported by NASA, in honor of Apollo 17 50th anniversary.

Developed by Carlson Raulen, the brand was founded in 2019 with a vision to deliver innovative and unique watches worldwide. Having trademarked in Australia and India with more than 8 design patents, it has sold more than 10,000+ watches with a customer delight experience.

The Luna 1972 Watch on Kickstarter is available for the great starting price of just $199 during the crowdfunding campaign, and this is a small price to pay for the caliber of timepiece you'll be getting on your wrist here. The watch's name symbolizes the Lunar roving vehicle in 1972, which traversed on the moon for almost 30.5 km.

Its dial is based on the rough Moon surface, and a window showcases a small piece of Lunar stone from a meteorite that crashed on Earth, which will immediately catch the eye. It showcases the majestic landscapes of the lunar planet and patterns of the moon, matching the pile of charcoal gray, powdery dust, and rocky debris, making this timepiece stand out from the crowd in some considerable style. For anyone with a love of the White Planet or space exploration in general, this is the watch you need on your wrist. At the 6 HRS position, this watch has a real standout feature, namely, an authentic moon stone that has been encapsulated into the case of the watch itself.

The lunar meteorites are sourced directly from meteorite hunters in northern Europe; this lunar meteorite will be supplied by the company MSG Meteorites. Most meteorites are named after the place where they were found; in this case, their name is "Bechar 006".

A certificate authenticating the provenance will be delivered with the watch model.

No batteries are required to run this watch, as it is built on Japanese automatic movement.
No Miyota automatic movement has moonphase; hence, this timepiece has become the rare kind, flaunting a rough moon surface on the dial, a real moon meteorite stone, and a 31-day moon phase indicator geared with the Miyota 8215 automatic movement.

The right side has the NASA original meatball logo, and the back side displays the engraved logo of the Apollo 17 mission.
The watch is made of 316L stainless steel with sapphire crystal glass on the cover, and the hands and hours are coded with Super Luminova for optimal visibility at night.
