Thomas J. Blocker Society Welcomes Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Host of Second Annual Living Legends Gala

ATLANTA - Sept. 14, 2023 - PRLog -- The anticipation of the Second Annual Living Legends Gala, hosted by The Thomas J. Blocker Society, reaches new heights as the distinguished emcee for the event is officially announced. Emmy nominated actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner will join the official programming for this prestigious gathering of healthcare professionals and visionaries.

The Thomas J. Blocker Society is thrilled to confirm Malcolm-Jamal Warner as the esteemed host for the Second Annual Living Legends Gala taking place on September 30. This celebration of healthcare excellence is an evening of inspiration, empowerment and recognition of some of healthcare's exceptional medical professionals who have redefined healthcare norms.

Known globally for his supreme body of work as a seasoned thespian, Emmy Award-nominated actor and Grammy Award-winning poet, Malcolm-Jamal Warner has positioned himself as one of the most accomplished talents on and off the screen. Most recently, he starred in Fox's riveting series, The Resident where he stars as Dr. AJ Austin—a triple board cardiothoracic, general and trauma surgeon.

This year's gala will honor Dr. Benjamin A. Blackburn II, D.D.S.: a renowned Atlanta Restorative Dentist and Prosthodontist, community leader and Trustee Emeritus of Morehouse College; and Dr. Valerie Montgomery Rice, M.D.: an Obstetrician, Gynecologist, currently serving as President and Dean of Morehouse School of Medicine. Their contributions in medicine and dentistry have shaped Georgia's healthcare landscape and set new standards for excellence.

The program also includes the renowned six-member ensemble Orchestra Noir, providing the evening's musical selections.

The Second Annual Living Legends Gala will be held at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel beginning  with a VIP reception at 6 p.m. and the 2023 Award Gala following at 7:30pm.
