The Backpacks for Kids: Summer Bash Community Event!

SEATTLE - Aug. 3, 2023 - PRLog -- All families across Seattle are welcome to join us at the South Park Community Center on August 18th at 4:30 to 7:00pm to celebrate the upcoming school year with a fun, community event! 1World1Sky will be distributing backpacks filled with school supplies for all children at the event. Along with this giveaway, SPD will be serving a delicious BBQ as activities and carnival games occur throughout the evening. We additionally look forward to having the Emergency Feeding Program, United Indians of All Tribes, Hopelink transportation, Assurance Wireless, King County Public Health, and other great community organizers come be apart of this event!
We proudly announce our inaugural "Backpacks for Kids" event, an extension of our previous backpack program that supplies homeless individuals in Seattle with essential-filled bags. The SPD has been an amazing partner in all of our efforts in supporting low income and homeless communities - we look forward to extending this support to families and children everywhere!
With our ultimate mission to give more, this upcoming Summer Bash will put our vision into action. We invite every family and child to come have a joyous time with our community - to spread the word means more people can be blessed.
