GCA Laser Safety LLC launches education, training, regulatory consultation firm in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. - July 27, 2023 - PRLog -- Gus Anibarro, president and founder of GCA Laser Safety LLC, has opened his education, training, and regulatory consultation firm at 111 North Orange Ave., Suite 800 in Orlando. According to Anibarro, for more than 23 years, he has specialized in providing laser safety awareness to a wide variety of industry professionals and their customers with the use of lasers in government, medicine, manufacturing, research, entertainment, and aesthetics, among others. Anibarro is a longtime Orlando resident, educator, and graduate of Rollins College and the University of Central Florida in psychology and mechanical engineering. He serves on the accredited standards committee Z136 and its subcommittees that put together the content of the ANSI standards for laser safety.

As part of a GCA laser safety workplace audit, a pre onsite visit provides a review of the company's laser inventory, existing safety programs and policies, examinations of laser systems for FDA compliance, assessments of beam delivery systems, and evaluations of laser material interaction points for beam and non-beam hazards. Anibarro also assesses laser control areas for beam and non-beam hazards that could harm employees and, in some situations, customers or patients. He also reviews laser area controls including signs and other entryway controls, inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for appropriate optical density, wavelengths, and observation of employees using laser systems. Anibarro compares all laser systems for standard operating procedures, and he is available to answer individual employee questions.
