Nurse Turned Entrepreneur to Host Summit

GREENSBORO, N.C. - July 13, 2023 - PRLog -- Nurse and award-winning entrepreneur Tammy Lewis is hosting the Nurse Boss Summit, a two-day event created to educate and inspire nurses who want to move from the bedside to the boardroom. The summit takes place at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons July 28^th- 29^th.  Special guests include actor Lamman Rucker, Adrienne "Gammy" Norris from the Red Table Talk, and Angel Love, of Basketball Wives. The North Carolina Nurses Association has approved the event so that nurses in attendance receive 34 contact hours.

Lewis has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. She was recognized in Forbes Magazine in both 2013 and 2014 for the growth of her company and her expertise in the home care industry. She ran a successful home care agency, Ideal Healthcare Services, for nearly ten years, before turning to home care and business consulting.

The Nurse Boss Summit is designed for nurses, providers, and recent college graduates. The event will kick off with Amy Loughren whose life is dramatized in Netflix's The Good Nurse. She will present the opening keynote, "Being an Advocate for Your Patients." There will be additional panel discussions, keynotes, a marketplace pavilion, and an awards gala.

Lewis's latest endeavor is The Anthony Lewis Foundation for Brain Tumors. She created the organization in honor of her late husband who passed away of Glioblastoma in 2022. The mission is to provide financial assistance and community resources to individuals with a brain tumor diagnosis. A portion of the proceeds from the summit will be donated to the foundation.

"It has brought me so much joy being able to assist individuals with the same diagnosis as Tony while honoring his memory. Helping others has been pivotal in my healing process," Lewis said. She serves as executive director of the foundation.
