FORT MYERS, Fla. - July 6, 2023 - PRLog -- Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties has received a grant of $20,000 from State Farm to help low-income families affected by Hurricane Ian.

"We are extremely grateful to State Farm for its generous grant, which will go a long way toward helping those families that are still struggling as a result of the hurricane," said Malaina Mote, director of donor advancement at Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties. "At Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and decent place to call home, and we are committed to assisting these families in rebuilding their homes and lives."

State Farm's grant will support Habitat's Hurricane Recovery Home Repair Program and its efforts to provide much-needed assistance to homeowners in need of urgent repairs in Lee County. Repairs may include roof repair or replacement, siding, drywall, painting, windows and doors. A faith-based housing ministry, Habitat's goal is to partner with more than 350 low-income families to rebuild their homes.
