First Black Female Air Force Physicist Awakens the True Meaning of Juneteenth with Financial Literacy and Wealth Building Conference

CHICAGO - June 13, 2023 - PRLog -- Picture this. A decorated Air Force veteran returns home after a 6-month overseas tour longing for the warmth of home and family only to find her home was SOLD out from under her. The scene goes from bad to worse when the now homeless airmen is served with divorce papers and dropped into $845,000 of crippling debt. These life-shattering events were the catalyst for famed financial planner Janine "JJ" Conway to shift careers and find a new purpose. JJ's drive and military background kicked her into 5th gear to rebuild her life. And today, she is helping others pick up the pieces to create a new story with a happily-ever-after ending.

As the first Black physicist in the Air Force, who weathered years of racial and gender discrimination, JJ knows all about the struggle to be included as well as the lack of the feeling of belonging. But today, this award-winning Financial Planner is changing how we view money and wealth creation.

At her 5th annual Juneteenth Legacy Conference, she unveils the hidden systemic underpinnings set up to keep underrepresented groups in a cycle of poverty. This June 15-17, Janine and her team of financial professionals are dispelling myths and realigning thinking patterns. The prolific author testifies how she moved from back-breaking debt into the land of plenty. During the 3 day virtual and in-person event, truth seekers will hear from guest speakers reshaping the narrative to equip attendees with race-conscious strategies and unique networking opportunities. In addition, the conference highlights the hidden benefits of getting your financial house in order so you can have more options in life.

The Juneteenth event shows attendees how to work in an arena where they are "celebrated and not tolerated." The hybrid conference highlights taboo topics like medical redlining, hidden roadblocks of insurance companies, food deserts, and corporate plantation of Black entertainment, and the need to build legacy investment. JJ is on a mission to uplevel communities and to create a legacy after lockup.

JJ is bringing some top talent to the table, including heavy hitters like Dr. Boyce Watkins, founder of The Black Business School. He takes the mic on Thursday, June 15th, as the keynote speaker. In addition, celebrity speaker Synethia S. Bland of CBS' Tough as Nails fame joins the conference to highlight the plight of formerly incarcerated people to help create pathways for success for this demographic. And rounding out this power-packed team is award-winning international motivational coach Dr. Cheryl Wood. Each speaker will destroy debt and overcome obstacles to build the next level of success.
