Snell & Wilmer's Victor Roehm Inducted as Fellow of American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers

PORTLAND, Ore. - May 8, 2023 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Portland Partner Victor J. Roehm III (https://www.swlaw.com/people/victor_roehm), has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (https://accfl.memberclicks.net/) ("the College") at their Annual Meeting. Roehm was one of 14 new fellows named to the College.

The College is a professional association of distinguished practicing lawyers in the United States, Canada and Mexico dedicated to improving and enhancing the practice of commercial finance law and the ethics of the profession. Amongst the requirements for Fellowship in the College are "preeminence in the field of commercial finance law" and "substantial and repeated or sustained contributions to the promotion of learning and scholarship in commercial finance law through (i) teaching, (ii) lecturing, (iii) published writings or (iv) continuing legal education through or sponsored by national, state or local bar organizations or continuing legal education organization." Fellows must have been admitted to practice law for at least 15 years and at least 10 of those years must include substantial experience in commercial finance law.

Roehm focuses his practice on commercial and public finance transactions as well as other corporate and real estate transactional matters. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions and borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured loan transactions. His finance experience includes syndicated credit facilities, borrowing base financings, mezzanine loans, real estate secured term and construction loans for office buildings, retail centers, housing developments, hotels and health care facilities, lines of credit and factoring agreements. Roehm advises his clients in connection with loan workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, discounted payoffs and deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure. He also has substantial public finance experience including acting as bond counsel, underwriting's counsel, letter of credit bank counsel, borrower's counsel and issuer's counsel on a variety of tax-exempt bond financings.
