BCT Board Member recognized by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

WASHINGTON - April 20, 2023 - PRLog -- BCT, a land and cultural heritage conservancy, announced today that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs recognized its Board Member, Robert Brevelle, for his support of veterans and veteran-owned businesses.

"BCT is honored to have one of its own named to such a prestigious and patriotic list of investors," said JJ Landry, BCT Chairman.  "Robert is a giving and helpful person. We salute his many years of mentoring veteran entrepreneurs and his keen business acumen in identifying early-stage veteran-owned businesses.  This recognition speaks to his unwavering commitment to his fellow brothers and sisters in arms and to his country."

Robert was nominated by Merill, A Bank of America Company.  Other organizations involved in the selection committee include the U.S. Small Business Administration, Crunchbase, and sponsor Navy Federal Credit Union.

"My father and stepfather are both retired combat veterans.  I was born and raised at military posts.  All of my closest friends come from military families," said Robert Brevelle, Board Member at Large of BCT.  "I value and respect the sacrifices of veterans and their families in protecting us and our way of life.  As they transition back into the civilian sector, it is our responsibility to facilitate this process not only in respect of what they have done but also as our civic duty to help our community.  Given my experiences and network, the best way I can accomplish this is to help those that want to start their own business or advance an early-stage technology."

Robert is a member and supporter of other veteran organizations.  He is a life member of the Association of the US Army, the National Guard Association, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, and the Association of Old Crows (AOC). He is currently the President of the Dallas Chapter of the AOC. Robert is a Founding Sponsor of the National Museum of the US Army.
