ACI Africa Secretary General, Mr. Ali Tounsi, expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary commitment of the airports to climate action, despite the effects of the COVID-19 crisis and other unstable trading conditions. He highlighted the contribution of African airports in inspiring their business partners to join them in their efforts towards Net Zero CO2 emissions by 2050, a goal shared by the aviation industry worldwide. "Today's report is testimony of the airports' unwavering dedication to ridding their operations and infrastructure of carbon. Their efforts are commendable and have set an example for others in the industry to follow," said Mr. Tounsi. The report confirms that African airports are not only committed to climate action but are also willing to go the extra mile to achieve their goals. As the world continues to recover from the pandemic, their steadfastness in the fight against climate change is a beacon of hope for a sustainable future. End
