League of Women Voters PBC Reminds Citizens that Deadline is March 4 for Vote-By-Mail Ballot Request

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Feb. 23, 2023 - PRLog -- (West Palm Beach, FL – February 23, 2023) The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC) today reminded local voters that the deadline to apply to Vote-By-Mail is March 4 to vote in the March 14 municipal elections. All earlier Vote-By-Mail applications on file in Florida expired at the end of 2022.

"There is no early voting in municipal elections, so if people still wish to Vote-by-Mail they must complete a new Vote-by-Mail ballot request by Saturday, March 4, in order to Vote-by-Mail in the March 14 municipal elections," says Kathi Gundlach, LWVPBC President. "If you don't live in one of the municipalities having an election and want to Vote-By-Mail in the next General Election, you also must also fill out and submit a new Vote-By-Mail ballot request."

Eligible citizens can request a Vote-By-Mail ballot by visiting the Supervisor of Elections website at www.VotePalmBeach.gov, by calling 561.656.6208, by faxing 561.656.6230, or in person at one of the four Supervisor of Elections offices. The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County recommends that Vote-By-Mail applicants include both their Florida driver license or their Florida ID number, plus the last four digits of their social security number, to ensure their voter record can be verified.

"Local elections impact everyone's daily life," adds Gundlach. "Decisions by your city, town or village may include public works, parks and recreation, police, fire, and emergency services, library services, as well as taxes. Many municipal elections are decided by only a few votes. Remember, representatives are only representative of the people that vote."
