Carrie Deveney Named Associate Managing Director

CHICAGO - Feb. 20, 2023 - PRLog -- With the proven ability to lead and develop others, Carrie Deveney has been appointed associate managing director for the Oak Brook office of Northwestern Mutual-Chicago. In this newly created role, she will drive recruiting for the firm, as well as manage growth and development for advisors who are early in their careers.

"This new role enhances the expertise of our leadership team in a variety of ways, from learning and development to attracting and retaining engaged and motivated financial professionals," said Chad McQuade, managing director. "Carrie has made substantial contributions to our firm's growth and our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and I'm thrilled for her to serve in this capacity."

Deveney joined Northwestern Mutual-Chicago in 2020 as associate executive strategy manager, focused on coaching, developing and accelerating the growth of next-generation advisors. In a collaborative effort, she launched the NM-Chicago Women's Initiative, a coaching and mentoring program focused on developing women personally and professionally.

She is a member of the Northwestern Mutual Women's Field Association, the first of its kind in the industry. She serves on Northwestern Mutual-Chicago's D&I Task Force and was selected to participate in Northwestern Mutual-Chicago's Committed Leaders Development Program.

Deveney holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Grand Valley State University. She resides in Elmhurst with her two Boston Terriers.
