Gregory Blair Wins "Best Actor" at the Robby Awards!

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Feb. 9, 2023 - PRLog -- It was near the end of the night when Gregory Blair was announced winner of the Ray Stiklyn Award for "Best Actor in a Drama" at the 36^th annual Robby Awards last Sunday Night. Nominated along with 9 other actors, Gregory was singled out for his portrayal of Roy Cohn in the Foolish Production Company's production of Tony Kushner's "Angels in America" in Hollywood, California.

"I'm still reeling," Blair said. "I mean, to be nominated alongside such giants in the business as Bryan Cranston, John Rubinstein and Harry Groener is an honor in and of itself! Not to mention Adam Kanter, whose performance in The Geffen's production of "The Inheritance" was truly transformational. I was over the moon just about being included in a category with these incredibly talented men as well as two of my "Angels" castmates who were as deserving of recognition as I was."

As for the win, Blair added "Any win is a testament to the entire cast and crew of a production, because in theater—especially theater on a smaller scale—every person adds something to the mix. My performance was the result of Mikey Mulhearn's direction, intimacy coordinator Celina Surniak's invaluable input, the support of my brilliant cast whose talent inspired and propelled my own; every person involved shares in whatever successes we achieve and this award is no different. It truly is for all of us."

Gregory has won awards previously for his acting which includes the stage (Angels in America, Working, Six Degrees of Separation, etc.) the big screen (Fang, Garden Party Massacre, etc.), and the small screen (Escape the Night, Love That Girl!, etc.).
