Steven Simicich esq. Recipient of the Distinguished 
St. Francis of Assisi Award

ASTORIA, N.Y. - Feb. 7, 2023 - PRLog -- Msgr. Maresca, of the St. Francis Assisi Academy awarded Steven Simicich esq. for his service to the community.

Steven Simicich was born and raised in Astoria. He graduated from St. Francis of Assisi Academy then went on to obtain his law degree from St. Johns Law School. Steven continues to actively support the community.

"I am so proud to be receiving this honor at our Catholic Schools during opening mass. It fills me with warmth and pride as the St. Francis of Assisi has been a part of my family for three generations. My parents got married here, I received the sacraments of baptism, communion and confirmation in St. Francis and we baptized our son in this church. My brothers and I graduated from St. Francis and now my sons are attending at the school.

Along with the loving home his parents provided, it was the Catholic schooling of St. Francis which helped steer his path." — said Steven Simicich.

Steven is a Board Member of the Astoria Park Alliance, the Village Alliance and Vice President of the LIC Lawyers Club. Recently Steven, was inducted into the Knights of Columbus in Astoria.
