Extensive research provided the answers and the way forward
For research in writing his book, he studied by listening to the audiobooks of textbooks that were voice recorded by sighted volunteers and friends. He also collected books on blindness from foreign libraries for the blind in whatever format he could get his hands on. For example, print, cassette, Braille or digital format. Then he took notes in Braille with the appropriate citations. He classified the notes and citations of the already-accumulated material into many large files and folders. Initially, this meant that he had to record on cassettes while taking additional notes to fill in the gaps. One by one, he gave the cassettes to a typist who then transcribed the audio files.

Blind people suffer frustrations and self-blame
The author experienced the frustration and alienation in many interactions with sighted people at university. Due to the lack of course material for the blind, he also had to work double in comparison to other sighted classmates who rested and enjoyed their leisure activities.
