"I am surrounding by beauty when I walk into any of our incredible Luxury Houses/Townhomes, generally pricing from 600,000 to over a million dollars, or when I am emerged in the intricacy of details, as I slowly walk through the Art Gallery, and although I feel so at home in these arenas of beauty, I recognize the struggle that many families have just to feed their children after working all week on minimal wage jobs, trying to decide what to pay first. Many families across the USA, have to choose ever month what to pay first. Deciding if it's Rent, Car, Food or Utilities coupled with holiday expectations, it can become overwhelming on parents as well as children. Having faced some of those same valleys in life, it is important for me to find like minded people that answer the question Dr. Martin L. King presented, What Are You Doing For Others? We as businesses, organizations & individuals, are stronger pillars of the community when we serve, impact and empower others. People want to support and patronize our companies when they know we genuinely care about them. I grew up with the concept from my grandmother and mother that said, be a doer not just a speaker! They taught me that Love is, serving the community, cleaning homes for the elderly, cooking food, donating clothes, giving gifts and serving people, is true leadership,"
Calstain Ganda affectionately called Cal of Real African Art, is originally from Zimbabwe, Africa. Cal also learned to care for others from his mother. She would often give from what she had to others in the community many times sacrificing her own needs. After her passing in 2017, Cal wanted to continue her goodwill in a broader way. Cal established the Art Gallery as way for his countrymen and artisans to be proud of the work they created by curating their artwork in the US. Cal stated, This collaboration with over 70 artist, would make a greater impact by bringing more exposure & financial resources to these families. This approach to assist others was far greater than he, just one person could give.
Jazzie was introduced to the Gallery by Interior Designer W. D Bond on a trip visiting family last year. She was captivated by the gallery & bought a few "Shona Stone" pieces & planned to attend one of the monthly events they host. After contacting Cal, planning a "Meet Your Realtors Sip & See" event, the conversation quickly became a combination of business & service with no hesitation on Cal's part.
