LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - Nov. 21, 2022 - PRLog -- On this GivingTuesday, November 29, People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos will encourage generosity by releasing its new inspirational video at noon and providing free short stories to the public, Executive Director Cheyenne Wolf announced recently.

"GivingTuesday is a natural fit for People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos because their mission of transforming communities and their world aligns directly with ours," Wolf noted.  "The tradition of giving is something we have exemplified for 50 years through our programs, which are offered at no cost to participants solely through the generosity of our supporters and sponsors.   Through readings and guided discussions of enduring literary short stories, our programs give participants opportunities to find fresh understandings of themselves, of others, and of the world.  In fact, we were recently recognized by both New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker commemorating 50 years of our important work."

This year, People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos launches its new inspirational video "Nosotros la Gente/We the People" with a brief Premiere at noon on November 29 at this YouTube link as well as offering free inspirational short stories to all sharing an email address at this link or by emailing .

GivingTuesday ( is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos (P&S/GyC) is dedicated to opening doors to literature for new audiences. Through oral readings and rigorous discussions of enduring short stories, we invite participants to find fresh understandings of themselves, of others, and of the world.

Our programs, offered in English and Spanish, use oral readings and structured dialogues of complex short stories to invite participants to connect their own varied life experiences to the universal themes found in great literature. Now in its 50th year, our program methodology effectively removes obstacles to the rewards of reading, especially for adults and young adults who identify as not having the skill, confidence, or motivation to read independently.
People and Stories/Gente y Cuentos is located at 295 Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville, NJ and is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment.  Most programs are held at partner sites and other locations.  For more information, call 609-882-4926 or visit
