Follow on Google News | USWE Patent Infringement Case Regarding Strap SystemUSWE patented straps were issued much later than H.C.PAX straps.
By: H.C.PAX USWE won numerous awards for their Swedish patented strap system starting in 2015. But, in 2009, posture inventor Chris Geisert received a utility patent in China for a strap system claimed to be invented by USWE in 2015. Chris Geisert is currently selling said backpack strap system in the US under the H.C.PAX brand name. If USWE manufactured or sold backpacks in China between the years of 2009 and 2019, a patent infringement lawsuit will be filed against USWE for patent infringement. Then, it will be decided by the courts if USWE patent resembles the patent filed in 2009. If it is found that companies in the US sold said invention during those years, they could also be held responsible as well if the backpacks were imported from China. If USWE produced these backpacks outside of China, there should be no issue unless they sold said backpacks in China. H.C. PAX reached out to USWE regarding patent infringement issues with their backpack strap system. USWE legal representative from lawfirm AWA located in Malmö, Sweden reached back in response.
