Work in the New Mexico Film Industry!

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Sept. 28, 2022 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of New Mexico encourages New Mexico residents interested in pursuing a film and television production career to apply for the free Production Assistant Training scheduled for October 22^nd and 23^rd in Albuquerque. This is the last class of the year! Seats are limited, and the deadline to apply is Tuesday, October 18^th.  Interested residents can learn more at www.goodwillnm.org and apply online.

The free Production Assistant (P.A.) Training program is a two-day comprehensive job training program that provides an opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and understanding of a film/TV production. The program trains individuals from diverse backgrounds for the job of Production Assistant, which is the entry-level gateway into the entertainment industry as it has been for many highly successful producers, directors, and crew currently working in the industry.

The training is provided free of charge to accepted participants and is designed to train Set and Office Production Assistants. Participants will learn everything necessary to walk on any film or television set and do the job right from day one. Although a job after the training is not guaranteed, film and television production is increasing in the State, and the demand for qualified PAs will too.

All applicants will be interviewed by phone prior to their acceptance. Phone appointments will be set-up by email.  Applicants MUST be able to attend training on both October 22^nd and 23^rd and be able to accept Production Assistant work in New Mexico in the next several months. Space is limited, so residents are encouraged to apply immediately.
