Pawsitive Healing, Veterinary Rehabilitation and Acupuncture to host pet photos with Santa, Dec. 11

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sept. 27, 2022 - PRLog -- Dr. Carla Rodrigues, DVM, CCRP, CVA, CVMMP, and owner of Pawsitive Healing, Veterinary Rehabilitation and Acupuncture in Jacksonville, Fla., will host the second annual pet photos with Santa fundraiser event to benefit Friends of Jacksonville Animals (FOJA).

The event will be held on Sunday, December 11 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at 1617 Thacker Avenue in the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville. Dr. Rodrigues will provide holiday decorated and themed photo areas at the practice and Santa who is available to be with pets for owners to take their own photos. A suggested donation of $15 is requested for the photo session with 100 percent of the contributions going to the beneficiary nonprofit.

Dr. Rodrigues specializes in creating a home environment for pets and their owners while practicing rehabilitation, acupuncture and spinal manipulation which is animal chiropractic. She also specializes in orthopedic and neurologic conditions such as arthritis management, laser therapy, injury and surgical recovery, muscle relaxation, hydrotherapy, strengthening exercises and herbal medicine. Dr. Rodrigues is an integrative veterinarian who incorporates western and conventional medicine to manage and help her patients have the best quality of life. She collaborates with pet owners' primary veterinarians to ensure consideration of every aspect of a pet's health, happiness, and existence as soulful beings.

Dr. Rodrigues is a proud Portuguese American, born and raised in Northern New Jersey. After graduation from her alma mater, Montclair State University in New Jersey with a Biology degree, she moved to the Caribbean, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University in Saint Kitts. During this time, Dr. Rodrigues became immersed in large animal and exotic pet medicine with monkeys, sea turtles, wildlife in the plains of South Africa, zoo animals, birds and reptiles, and more. Dr. Rodrigues focuses on alternative pet wellness and medicine and is certified in Reiki energy healing, canine rehabilitation, veterinary acupuncture, and spinal manipulation which is animal chiropractic.

She completed her clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Minnesota and practiced medicine in California and North Carolina before moving to Jacksonville in 2017.
