"Many healthcare facilities are seeking all levels of nurses, and our history with nursing education provides a solid foundation for this new program," added Ashcraft. In New Mexico, all nursing programs must attain and maintain approval by the NMBON. This indicates the nursing program has met the requirements approved by the NMBON and is in good standing. Graduates of NMBON approved programs are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Upon passing the NCLEX-PN, graduates are eligible to become licensed and practice in New Mexico as a Practical Nurse.
