MUMBAI, India - Sept. 5, 2022 - PRLog -- The third type of question you get in the PTE Reading section is the Reorder paragraph question, and you are expected to reorder a jumbled or unordered paragraph into a correct sequence. The PTE Reorder paragraph questions can be quite challenging to prepare for. You are presented with two boxes, one with sentences from a paragraph in an unordered fashion, and the other is empty, in which you must drag and drop the sentences to form the correct Reorder paragraph. You only get 3 questions in the exam, and you don't get any specific time to solve them. Also, the scoring is a bit tricky, you get marks for pairs of sentences in the correct order, not just for placing them in the right place.

The first step in solving the Reorder paragraph questions is to identify the first sentence, which is the topic or introductory sentence. Finding the topic sentence is the key to finding the remaining sentences in the correct order. The topic sentence of any PTE Reorder paragraph question will be independent of all other sentences and will provide an introduction to the topic. You will need to find the remaining sentences using knowledge of paragraph structure and coherence. Knowing paragraph structures, such as Chronology or Order of Importance, will help you to solve this task correctly. Also, PTE Reorder paragraph questions are coherent in nature, which means that they will smoothly link together. Transition words and repetition of nouns and pronouns are used to form coherent paragraphs, and the same is true for the Reorder paragraph questions.
