About the Author: This is the second book by Marva A. Smith. "The biggest obstacle I faced writing a book of this nature was having the experience necessary to tell such authentic and engaging stories. I needed to step out of my comfort zone and be more proactive, seek situations and circumstances that would give validity to the scope and complexity of a problem, and provide a depth of analysis or understanding that would otherwise be lacking." Born and raised in Barbados, the author left her Caribbean paradise to work in the corporate world of Canada, where she also volunteers for charities.
