Hi contributors, my name's Nick, the current design lead of the Sky-haven Travel team. I have always been inspired by design at all levels and currently finishing up my Masters in Architecture at the University of Colorado in Denver. I initially came up with the idea for a hybrid Travel pillow Hoodie several years ago while traveling on a 5-hour flight from the West to East coast.

I was stuck in the middle seat on a packed evening flight, tired as ever; then looking around, I saw several people across the aisle trying to sleep with bulky u-shaped travel pillows haphazardly around their neck and I thought, can we do no better than this as a society? I had one of those cheap pillows myself at the time, and kept thinking what do I do with my arms?

My mind started churning over the next several months as I started listing out the various attributes that would make up an amazing travel pillow/travel blanket hybrid, if there were no limitations on price or design features. I won't lie, the initial design I came up with was extremely rough and bulky. However, one of my favorite quotes is "all good design is iterative." It takes continuous repetition and refinement to create something new and useful, sleek and easily portable.
