HaDavar (The Word ofיהוה ): The Tanakh and Brit Khadashah Scriptures Volume I by Daniel Perek
By: Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Co.
This first volume of a four-volume set contains the Hebrew version of the Tanak from the Masoretic text, as well as a new English translation of those texts, along with transliterations for Hebrew terms. Everything is written in an English-friendly manner.
Author Daniel Perek's purpose for taking on this massive undertaking is to give a more accurate Hebrew/Jewish rendering of the texts without giving up the beauty of scripture for English readers.
The source text for הדבר, דבר יהוה HaDavar (The Word ofיהוה ): The Tanakh and Brit Khadashah Scriptures Volume I is the Tanak, or "Old Testament," in Masoretic Hebrew. The source for the Brit Khadashah is the Aramaic Peshitta texts of the New Testament. The author brilliantly combines both to produce this important new Messianic Peshitta version.
About the Author: Daniel Perek of Conroe, Texas, has been writing for 35 years. He holds a B.A. in biblical studies and an M.A. in history. His study of the Hebrew language began over 20 years ago after becoming a Messianic believer by studying Greek-sourced texts. But his understanding flourished following his reading of the Peshitta Brit Khadashah in Hebrew and Aramaic. The words in this book appear in English followed by the Masoretic and Peshitta texts in Hebrew.
