Transafe Successfully Held Basic Safety Training for Elnusa

JAKARTA SELATAN, Indonesia - May 18, 2022 - PRLog -- Transafe was successful in aiding Elnusa Petroleum School (EPS) to conduct Basic Occupational Safety and Health (Basic Safety) training. This event was attended by a number of participants from the management level.

Elnusa Tbk is very concerned about reducing the number of work accidents in the office and its projects, therefore the Basic Safety training was held face-to-face for the first time after the Eid holiday. Present at this event were the Director of Elnusa Trans Samudera, Mr. Didik Purwanto and: Senior Manager Elnusa Petroleum school Mr. Hanggara Hardiansyah.

Training materials delivered to participants in this Basic Safety Training are Safety Awareness, Basic Fire Fighting and Basic First Aid. The instructors in this training were Mr. Luki Tantra on Safety Awareness; Meanwhile, Mr. Khayum Basir deliver Basic Fire Fighting and Basic First Aid materials.

In the fire fighting training material, there are two extinguishing techniques that have been confirmed in practice for the participants. The first is the technique of extinguishing the fire using a fire blanket.
Secondly, the technique of using a light fire extinguisher (APAR). The technique of extinguishing fire with APAR uses the acronym PASS (Pull-Aim-Squeeze-Sweep). The fire extinguishers used for practice consist of several kinds, including powder, CO2 and Foam.

In the first aid training, the technique that emphasizes understanding of the participants is doing cardiopulmonary practice (CPR). According to the 2020 version of the American Heart Association (AHA), Effective education is the main variable in increasing the chances of survival from cardiac arrest. Without effective education, general rescuers and healthcare providers will struggle to consistently apply the science that supports evidence-based treatment of cardiac arrest.

The event ended with the awarding of a commemorative plaque from Mr. Djemy Wagiu, Transafe's Training & Operation Manager to Mr. Hanggara. Djemy Wagiu hopes that with this training Elnusa will be able to reduce the accident rate to Zero.
