Trudeau's current regime also stated that the focus of new immigration adjustments would be to broaden trajectories to permanent residency for international students and temporary foreign workers by lowering scores, taking into account passing an academic programme, removing the requirement for English and French conversational fluency test results, and attempting to remove the work experience requirement as of 2021, which further solidifies the notion that obtaining a work permit is more important than obtaining a work permit.
